The inaugural program of the Social Innovation Lab is SLiDE (Service Learning in Design & Engineering) and is intended to harness the talents of Algonquin College students from the Schools of Media and Design and Advanced Technology. SLiDE provides support to community-based organizations (service agencies, charities, non-profits, social enterprise, etc.) in the area of digital technology.

Research Money’s inaugural Digital Pre-Conference, held alongside the widely anticipated 23rd annual conference, “Reverse Engineering the Future,” offers a platform for vibrant discussions and collaborative exchanges among attendees, speakers, policymakers, and industry experts. Participants have the option to engage anonymously, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all attendees. Activities include (but not limited to) Ask Me Anything (AMA) sessions with innovation leaders, engaging webinars with live Q&A sessions, weekly discussion topics, opportunities to host and attend webinars alongside other experts.

STEM for Social Impact is a program at the University of Victoria (UVic) led through the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Centre for Asia-Pacific Initiatives (CAPI). We work closely with our community, industry, and research partners, to solve real-world problems within our local communities.
