Welcome to Lab 3 of an 8 part series that builds our capacity to get out of our own way, and intentionally align with the outcomes we are aiming for.
Before we can release an emotion, we have to stop denying it's there. As children, we learned that some feelings were safe to have and others were not. For better or worse, those old rules and programs still run quietly in the background. In addition, we often judge and condemn our own feelings, even before we recognize or admit we are having them.
Once we recognize that we are denying an emotion, we can explore the conscious and unconscious sources of resistance that are preventing us from aligning with the very outcomes we’re aiming for.
